With all the great ideas and plans for success in 2012 a big key is how you start. This month we kicked it off with the Town Hall meeting where we discussed the finer points of goal setting.

We got down to the nitty gritty of defining your goals and laying down an action plan for 2012. Two weeks later and we are a week away from the end of January 2012, the first month of the year, the foundation to your well laid plan, and the success of this month and months to come starts with one thing: Did you show up?

When it comes to CrossFit, did you show up? Did you go to the “X” amount of classes you told yourself you were going to do? Showing up has many definitions when it comes to self reflection and goals: Did you show up?
- Did you send your coach you food journaling every week or do you owe 100/burpees a week?
- Have you cleaned out your pantry of food choices that don’t support your body composition goals?
- Have you gotten the 7 hours of sleep a night?
- Have you begun to journal your daily WOD’s and results?

The list can go on depending on what you talked about in your groups, but what it comes down to is a real reflection of the last two weeks: Did you show up? Or are you still on the side lines, planning, counting, waiting for the “right” time to start?

January 2012 is coming to an end and time is one thing we can’t get back. The great thing about “showing up” is just that, all you need to do is put one foot in front of the other and choose today to be better then the yesterday.   1. I would love to SHOW UP today, but my little one is home with a toothache… I’ll be in the backyard working on DUs and inside doing air squats and push ups and handstands… gotta show up somewhere :)
